<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a varistor capable of achieving low varistor voltage and low electrostatic capacity, having excellent ESD resistance and suited to purposes of a high frequency transmission circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage non-linear resistor composition has ZnO as a main component and is represented by the general formula (1-x)ZnO+x[Sr<SB>1-y</SB>M<SB>y</SB>]<SB>1-a</SB>[Co<SB>1-z</SB>Mn<SB>z</SB>]<SB>1+a</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. Wherein, M is at least one of Ca and Ba, x, y, z, and a represent molar ratios, and 0.0005≤x≤0.10, 0≤y≤0.8, 0<z≤0.8, -0.1≤a≤0.2 are satisfied. Consequently, an extremely low varistor voltage, excellent non-linearity and extremely low dielectric can be achieved. The varistor using the voltage non-linear resistor composition has excellent ESD resistance while achieving reduction of varistor voltage and small electrostatic capacity and the multilayer varistor suited to the purposes of the high frequency transmission circuit can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
