EXHAUST VALVE FOR LARGE-SIZED TWO-CYCLE DIESEL ENGINE, PROCESS FOR REDUCING FORMATION OF NOX IN SUCH ENGINE, AND SUCH ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create an improved exhaust valve preferable for reduction of formation of NOx and an improved process, and to design an improved large-sized two-cycle diesel engine.

SOLUTION: A bowl-like part designed as a rotation-symmetrical cavity (18) is provided on a lower surface facing to a combustion chamber (3) of a valve disc (15) designed for controlling an exhaust opening part (12) of the two-cycle type large-sized diesel engine and arranged on a lower end of a valve shaft (14), and the cavity is partitioned in the circumferential form and is opened toward a lower side. The maximum rising of the lower surface of the valve disc (15) formed in the recession form relative to a virtual plane (23) for directly supporting the valve disc (15) is made within a range of 2-10% of an outer diameter of the valve disc (15).
