<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC tag device for the individual recognition of small animals, easily attachable to small animals, resistant to the detachment after attaching, and holding various data for individual recognition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The IC tag device is composed of an insertion member holding an IC tag and a fixing member. The insertion member holding an IC tag is provided with a main body encircled by an outer curved face and an inner flat face, a circular column part placed near the center of the inner flat face of the main body, a conical part having a sharp tip and placed at the top of the circular column, a groove formed near the boundary of the circular column and the conical part and extending along the circumference of the circular column, an IC chip held in the main body and an antenna of the chip. The fixing member is provided with a main body encircled by an outer curved face and an inner flat face, a hole penetrating the outer curved face and the inner flat face, and a protrusion formed at the side of the inner flat face of the inner side face of the hole and protruding from the inner side face of the hole.
