The seal and/or sealing layer has a sealing runner (1) manufactured by a stamping process, which compresses a runner material in a width direction. The runner includes a material thickness (h+delta h) larger than surrounding of the seal, and is connected with the seal by a relative thin connecting bar (4). The runner includes a conical side surface and outwardly inclined side surface in the direction of the connecting pieces, where the seal and sealing layer include a sealing up upper surface covering that is made up of plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a seal and/or sealing layer.
