The functionality testing device (1) has a movable positioning system (2) provided with a receiving device for receiving a radiation therapy probe or for receiving a radiation source. The radiation source is provided for supplying radiation to a radiation therapy probe coupled with the radiation source. A hollow plastic holder (34) and an ionization chamber are provided, where the plastic holder is guided into a container (10) through an opening in sealing manner.
