PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal with a function of measuring a subject size and a method for measuring a subject size are provided to grasp a subject size by only the mobile communication terminal without using an additional tool. CONSTITUTION: A speaker(110) outputs an acoustic signal having a measurement frequency for measuring a distance from a subject. A microphone(120) receives the acoustic signal with the measurement frequency reflected from the subject. A camera unit(130) generates an image signal by picking up an image in which the subject is included through a lens. A controller(140) controls the speaker to output the acoustic signal with the measurement frequency.
