PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing a 3D template for checking a 3D curved surface of an external plate for a ship is provided to cut raw materials and prevent increase of the remaining materials, thereby saving raw materials. CONSTITUTION: A transparent paper is put on a bottom of a workplace. An X axis reference line, a Y axis reference line and curved lines(4,5,6,7) of the bottom are drawn on the transparent paper. The first reference point is formed on an X axis reference line between a cross point of the X axis reference line and the Y axis reference line and an X axis connecting point of the X axis reference line and the curved line. The second reference point is formed on a Y axis reference line between a cross point of the X axis reference line and the Y axis reference line and a Y axis connecting point of the Y axis reference line and the curved line. Processing plates are assembled.
