PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying symbol and a method thereof are provided to indicate symbols by entering emoticons using a touch screen. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(210) consecutively inputs a coordinate. A display unit(220) displays a symbol which is selected in advance corresponding to the coordinate entered consecutively. A controller(230) controls the display unit to display the symbols on the display unit corresponding to the entered coordinate. The controller outputs the symbol selected in advance from the predetermined selection input mode. The storage stores the emoticon. |
