PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for blurring image background in digital image processing device is provided to offer an optical formula background blur effect by obtaining the subject information through the flash radiation ON/OFF in the live view image state and applying background blur effect of the subject center. CONSTITUTION: The blurring processing is proceed in the image generated from the brightness difference of the second image which is generated by flash radiation after the shutter input. The third image, which is generated by the flash off after the shutter input, is synthesized with blurring processed image. The first image is finally generated between first shutter-release bottom input and second shutter-release bottom input.
