The [OPERATION GUI] shows a GUI for operating the processing unit corresponding to [C: EDITING] . In an image processing method, the "editing-halt" state can be provided, enabling the user to operate the other processing unit while one processing unit is in the editing state. Accordingly, while the user is operating a complicated processing unit such as a cardiac function analysis, the user can once stop editing the cardiac function analysis as required, and can execute a voxel value measurement, mask setting processing, etc., for example, and then can resume editing of the cardiac function analysis.
