PURPOSE: A wireless heart rate monitoring system for a group is provided to reduce power consumption of a battery by driving the heart rate measurement transmitter only if the electrocardiogram data of a user is detected. CONSTITUTION: A wireless heart rate monitoring system includes a plurality of wireless heart rate measuring unit(10) and at least one receiver(20). If the electrocardiogram data of the user is detected, each wireless heart rate measuring unit transmits the heart rate data and the remaining amount of the battery to the receiver through a relay(30). The receiver produces the movement information about the user based on the heart rate data received from each wireless heart rate measuring unit. The wireless heart rate measuring unit includes a heart measurement transmitter and the electrocardiogram measuring unit. The heart rate measurement transmitter produces the heart rate by calculating the interval between the pulses in a plurality of electrocardiogram wavelengths detected by the electrocardiogram measurement unit.
