PURPOSE: A key pad assembly with two stage light guide plate structure is provided to minimize a size of a keypad by supplying an optical source to a number key and an addition function key through a first light guide and a second light guide. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(14) is combined in an upper side of a printed circuit board. A number key and an additional function key are formed in front of the keypad. A first light guide plate(20) is attached to the upper side of the keypad. The first light guide plate irradiates the light from a first LED to the number key of the keypad. A second light guide plate(26) is arranged between the keypad and the printed circuit board and irradiates the light for a second LED to the additional function key of the keypad. An actuator is protrusively formed in the bottom of the second light guide plate. A light shielding tape(24,30) is attached to the upper side of the first and second light guide plates.
