PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution server capable of reducing loads on the content distribution server without requiring previous installation of application or the like. SOLUTION: The content distribution server 100 distributes, to a client 200, content including a server application program. In the client 200, the server application program is started. By transmitting network information on the client 200, the content distribution server manages the client 200 as a proxy server. When there is a content distribution request from a specific client subsequently, the client 200 of the proxy server is designated as a destination for downloading the content.
