FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of detecting radiation in radiation monitoring for searching for sources and determination of the direction of radiation (bearing). The detector includes at least three layers of cylindrical plastic scintillators, the cylindrical plastic scintillator of each layer is placed in the depression between cylindrical plastic scintillators of the neighbouring row, at the ends of the cylindrical plastic scintillators there are photodiodes, which are connected to an electronic circuit for generating an analogue signal, digitising said signal and transmitting it to an output register with indication of the time of arrival and amplitude of the signal, and the number of the cylindrical plastic scintillator. ^ EFFECT: simpler design, faster operation, possibility of determining not only presence of radiation, but direction of motion of fast neutrons. ^ 4 cl, 1 dwg |
