An apparatus for copy control for use in an audio/video (AV) stream processing system (300, 400, 500) which processes an AV stream comprising a content information field and a content field, the apparatus comprising: an extracting component which extracts first copy control information of the content information field and second copy control information of the content field from the AV stream; and a determining component (320, 420, 550) which determines whether the copy control information of the content information field and the copy control information of the content field are different.
