The system (100) has a transformation assembly (102) to convert an input electrical signal to a detachable electrical output signal with different characteristics than the input signal. A control unit (106) is connected to inverter assemblies (103, 103') to monitors the power required to transform the instantaneous energy to the inverter assemblies. The control unit disables some of a set of instantaneous power switching converters utilized for converting the input signal into the output signal, based on the power consumption. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for transforming energy (2) a power system comprising a central control system.
