PURPOSE: An electronic ink display device and a driving method for the same are provided to operate the electronic ink display apparatus with a cheap and low capacity memory by compensating a temperature of electronic ink display through a temperature compensation unit. CONSTITUTION: In a electronic ink display device and a driving method for the same, a temperature sensor senses a temperature of the electronic ink display apparatus. The temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is compared with temperature range data which is composed of an activation range and non-active range range(S3). A signal for driving a temperature compensation unit and electronic ink display device is outputted selectively according to the sensed temperature.
