FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: plant material from paclitaxel-containing plants is obtained first. Paclitaxel is then extracted from the plant material. Paclitaxel is subsequently extracted from the paclitaxel extract using a series of column chromatography steps to obtain at least one fraction which contains paclitaxel. Paclitaxel in the fraction obtained from column chromatography steps is crystallised. ^ EFFECT: using these methods, highly pure paclitaxel can be efficiently produced from different types of yew plants or its parts, containing paclitaxel independent of paclitaxel content. ^ 47 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex |
