PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide gas indicator having an indicating part of which an outer appearance is not damaged even when used under a highly moisture condition. SOLUTION: The indicating part is formed in a multilayer indicating part with two or more carbon dioxide gas detection layers laminated. Concentrations of polyhydric alcohol in carbon dioxide gas detection ink compositions for forming the carbon dioxide gas detection layers are different from each other. Preferably the carbon dioxide gas detection layer with a lower polyhydric alcohol concentration is arranged near content, and the carbon dioxide gas detection layer with a high polyhydric alcohol concentration is arranged far from the content. Thereby, the carbon dioxide gas detection layer with low water absorption performance with respect to moisture from the content functions as a buffer, and a water absorption amount to the carbon dioxide gas detection layer with higher water absorption performance is controlled.
