PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect automatically and precisely an unevenness defect caused by generation of creases, adhesion of a foreign matter or the like on the printed surface of a traveling sheet. SOLUTION: A one-dimensional CCD camera 2 for photographing a printed under side surface of a traveling corrugated carton sheet 10 over the whole area in the width direction of the corrugated carton sheet 10, and an illumination device 3 for irradiating the under side surface photographed by the one-dimensional CCD camera 2 are faced each other in the traveling direction of the corrugated carton sheet 10, and disposed slantingly at tilt anglesθ<SB>1</SB>,θ<SB>2</SB>respectively to the under side surface. In the case where the tilt angleθ<SB>1</SB>of the one-dimensional CCD camera 2 is 9°-12°, when linearly-linking dark points are detected on a two-dimensional image of the under side surface acquired by subjecting a one-dimensional image photographed by the one-dimensional CCD camera 2 to image processing by an image processing device 4, the linearly-linking dark points are determined to be unevenness defects of creases. Thus, an unevenness defect on the printed surface of the traveling corrugated carton sheet 10 can be inspected automatically and precisely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
