PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull electric lock mountable into a narrow space of a vertical frame or the like of a door, locked/unlocked by remote operation and attaining mechanism protection and clear operation. SOLUTION: The push-pull electric lock 100 with a lock bolt 25 projected from a lock case 19 stored in the vertical frame 17 of the door is provided with a drive cam provided in the lock case 19; a conversion mechanism 65 inputting push-pull operating force in a door opening direction to the drive cam; a lock piece with its swing tip inserted in a recess of the drive cam in the projecting state of the lock bolt to regulate the rotation of the drive cam; a slide cam plate for retreating the lock bolt 25 by the rotation of the drive cam; a latch body for holding the slide cam plate in the upper end moving position; a releaser that receives magnetic repulsion by closing the door and releases holding by the latch body; an electromagnetic plunger for linearly moving a plunger by an electric signal; a driving connector connected to the plunger and linearly moved; and a switching cam with its tip engaging part connected to the swinging base end of the lock piece and with its base end connecting part connected to the driving connector.
