<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of being mounted suitably on a fringe part of a printed-circuit board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This is a push switch 1 which includes a housing 2 of which on the front side an aperture is formed and a terminal member 3 is led out toward the back side and a frame 8 which has a pair of engagement members 84 at the positions corresponding to the side face of the housing 2 and is installed on the housing 2 so as to cover the aperture, and mounted on a cut-out portion formed at the fringe part of the printed-circuit board by the terminal member 3 and the engagement members 84. A plane portion 31 which surface contacts the surface of the printed-circuit board is formed on the terminal member 3, and the engagement members 84 have a shape to allow surface contact to the printed circuit board of the plane surface portion 31.
