A filter cigarette comprises a tobacco core enclosed in a jacket, and a filter having a first filtering element connected to one ends of the tobacco core and made as a fiber strand of the filtering material, and a second filtering element arranged within the first filtering element and having at least one sealed wrapper with liquid core. The second filtering element represents a distributed system of water-resistant jackets made as tubular and/or ampule capsule adapted to break capsules when applying external mechanical effort, the volume of the second filtering element makes up from 3 to 75 % of the first filtering element volume.The filter cigarette embodied according to the present invention provides high-quality purification of tobacco smoke and enhance a smoker a chance to change the efficiency of tobacco smoke purification.
