<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drop in quality of a video image, when a video image, including encoded an I frame and a P frame is communicated as packet data and, especially, when packet loss occurs in the P frame. <P>SOLUTION: After transmitting an I frame, a video image transmitter 1 generates a plurality (n) of P frames, each using the I frame as a reference frame and transmits them at respective points, at each time. Subsequently, the video image transmitter generates n P frames by using the P frames as reference frames, respectively, and transmits them at respective subsequent points, at each time. Since n P frame systems can be constituted, the video image of a normally received P frame in other sequence, having the content identical to that of a P frame, in that the sequence can be decoded and reproduced on the side of a video image receiver 2, even when packet loss occurs in the P frame in a certain sequence, so that the video image can be reproduced without causing deterioration in quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
