<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact imparting device capable of preventing a base and the other tools from being damaged by stopping the operation of the device without performing a special operation such as the release of hand from the device. <P>SOLUTION: This impact imparting device includes a cylinder 1 having a cylindrical wall and a compressed air inlet 32; a piston 2 reciprocable in the cylinder 1 in the longitudinal direction; an impact imparting member 3 which has an engagement end section 22 which is installed in the cylinder 1 displaceably in the longitudinal direction and which extends from one end 1a of the cylinder 1 and is engaged with an article to be processed and which is hit by the piston 2 to impart the article to be processed; a valve member 7 which is installed on the outside of the cylinder 1 slidably in the longitudinal direction, which has a compressed air introduction hole 31, and which is axially displaceable between an operation position for introducing compressed air into the cylinder 1 and a non-operation position for stopping the introduction of the compressed air into the cylinder 1; and a biasing means 9 for biasing the valve member 7 to the non-operation position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
