PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system for molten liquid ink system having a double storage reservoir, allowing high throughput, containable in a limited space of the device, and having high cost performance. SOLUTION: The valve assembly includes a valve housing demarcating a valve seat between first and second storage reservoirs; a tilted face disposed in the housing; and a passive valve disk movable from the closed position in which the disk abuts on the valve seat in sealed contact to an open position in which the valve disk is supported on the tilted face. The tilted face is composed to only partially support the valve disk, and not to support the upper part thereof. The tilted face further demarcates a guide face at the upper part of the disk on the opposite side of the valve seat. The guide face communicates with the second storage reservoir in fluid to guide the flow of the molten ink behind the valve disk, and assists floating up of the valve disk away from the tilted face when moving from an open position to a closed position.
