<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic fiber having an excellent antistatic property, giving an excellent fabric grade, and excellent in quality stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Provided is the polyester fiber comprising a polyalkylene arylate and a copolyester having an intrinsic viscosity of ≥0.60 dL/g and prepared by copolymerizing a dihydroxy compound component represented by general formula (1) or copolymerizing the dihydroxy compound component represented by the general formula (1) and polyoxyethylene glycol component, with polybutylene terephthalate component, and further copolymerizing a metal organic sulfonate component, characterized in that the amount of the metal polybutylene terephthalate component is 0.1-20.0 mol%; the ratio of the total weight of the polybutylene terephthalate component and the metal organic sulfonate component to the total weight of the dihydroxy compound component represented by the general formula (1) and the polyoxyethylene glycol component copolymerized in the copolyester is 30:70 to 70:30; the copolyester is blended in an amount of 3.0-10.0 wt.% based on the polyalkylene arylate.
