<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately detect abnormality when the abnormality occurs in the water supply valve of a dishwasher and to stop water supply (abnormal water supply) to a washing tub. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The dishwasher includes: the washing tub 3 for storing dishes and also storing washing water; at least two water supply valves 11 and 12 serially arranged and independently opened and closed, for supplying the washing water to the washing tub 3; a rotary nozzle 5 for spraying the washing water to the dishes; a washing pump 7a for forcibly feeding the washing water to the rotary nozzle; a water discharge pump 7b for discharging the washing water stored in the washing tub to the outside of the dishwasher; a heater 8 for heating the washing water inside the washing tub and air; a drying fan 15 for feeding the air into the washing tub; a water level detector 13 for detecting a water level inside the washing tub; a thermistor 9 for detecting the temperature inside the washing tub; and a control part 25. When stopping the water supply to the washing tub, by switching at least two water supply valves 11 and 12 and stopping water by one water supply valve, the abnormality of the water feed valve is monitored during an operation.
