<p>Provided is a stainless steel foil for a flexible display, said foil having a highly smooth surface. The stainless steel foil can be used to manufacture a TFT substrate for a display, said substrate having excellent shape restoration characteristics after being rolled and bent. The stainless steel foil is characterized by having a thickness between 20µm and 200µm, a surface roughness (Ra) of no more than 50nm, and having shape restoration characteristics such that the distortion angle of the foil is no more than 10° after being wrapped around a cylinder with a diameter of 30mm.</p>
