The invention relates to an automatic liquid dispenser for a refrigerator with a water dispenser and/or ice maker, including: a power supply cable with two poles, one pole being connected to the general switch and the other pole being connected to the pressure switch; an AC power converter; a submersible motor; a non-return valve; a hose for conveying the liquid from the cylinder to the refrigerator; and an automatic electronic shut-down circuit. When no liquid is required in the refrigerator, the liquid remains in the hose at a certain pressure since the hose is connected to the non-return valve. Once the device is switched on, the pressure is reduced and the motor begins to operate, drawing the liquid to the refrigerator. Automatic shut-down occurs when the device has been operating for more than one minute and 40 seconds or when the liquid has been drained from the cylinder.
