APPARATUS OF LIGHTING DIAGNOSIS IN A CAR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for diagnosing the lighting for a vehicle is provided to notify an abnormal state automatically by grasping the state of the lighting according to the additional command of a driver. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(30) applies the power to a light source(34) by controlling a test unit(32) in a diagnosis state of the light source or an initial starting sate of a vehicle. A light receiver(36) receives an optical signal outputted from the light source. The pulse of an optical signal received from the light receiver is transmitted to the control unit. The control unit determines the normal operation state of the light source by comparing the pulse of the optical source and the inputted pulse. The control unit generates an alarm through an alarm unit(44) in an abnormal state. The control unit provides the information to a driver using a dashboard in the abnormal state. An external light shielding unit(38) is mounted near the light source. A lighting switch(40) controls the on and off sate of the light source.
