<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device excelling in optical efficiency, and capable of creating illumination force of an HID lamp, using an incandescent lamp light source, and thereby reducing system cost. <P>SOLUTION: This invention is directed towards a lighting assembly having a light source, at least one lens, and at least one light input surface formed as part of the lens for receiving substantially all the light produced from the light source.
