<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inorganic component-containing organic fiber improved in mechanical strengths by mixing an inorganic component with an organic component, and a nonwoven fabric containing the fiber. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the inorganic component-containing organic fiber comprises (1) a process for preparing an inorganic spinnable sol solution, (2) a process for preparing a spinning solution by mixing the inorganic spinnable sol solution, a solvent capable of dissolving the inorganic spinnable sol solution, and an organic polymer capable of being dissolved in the solvent, and (3) a process for forming the inorganic component-containing organic fiber comprising the inorganic gel and the organic polymer by spinning the spinning solution. The inorganic spinnable gel solution preferably has a≥10,000 weight average molecular weight and is preferably prepared from a raw material containing a metal alkoxide having an organic substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
