<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 2-cyanoacrylate condensate effective for obtaining 2-cyanoacrylate having high monomer purity and excellent production stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a 2-cyanoacrylate comprises a step of introducing a cyanoacetic acid ester and formaldehyde into a reaction tank and refluxing and removing a formaldehyde stabilizer while carrying out a polycondensation reaction, and a step of introducing the reaction solution thus obtained into a dehydration tank and then dehydrating the same. The formaldehyde stabilizer content of the reaction solution before the dehydration step is controlled to be ≤2.0 mass% and a catalyst for polycondensation reaction is dividedly added to the reaction tank and the dehydration tank.
