<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus that suppresses an increase in operation amount, when the maximum value of the number of data streams to be sent and received is smaller than the number of antennas during transmission of data, using the plurality of antennas. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus includes: a matrix estimating unit that estimates a channel matrix of N rows and M columns (N and M are natural numbers); a selecting unit that selects S rows (S is a natural number, and S<min(M, N)) from the channel matrix estimated by the matrix estimating unit and generates a sub-channel matrix of S rows and M columns; and an arithmetic unit that calculates an antenna weighting coefficient matrix, on the basis of the sub-channel matrix generated by the selecting unit. The selecting unit selects the S rows, that make the size of the sub-channel matrix a maximum from all the matrices having S rows which are selected from among the channel matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
