<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method capable of fixing a workpiece on a working surface plate in a short period of time and without taking labor even in such case that various kinds of machining is repeated while minimizing the number of tools for fixing the workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: A tool setting device comprises a reference member set on a setting surface, and a setup tool movable by a drive unit in a direction approaching or separating from the reference member, wherein the drive unit includes a memory unit for memorizing at least a plurality of length data of the setup tool, and a movement amount detector for detecting a movement amount of the setup tool which is moved by the drive unit based on the length data of the memory unit. Before the workpiece fixing tool is mounted on a worktable of a working machine such as a welding machine, it is mounted on the setting surface of the tool setting device and is set to a predetermined dimension. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
