<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of simplifying operability and facilitating setting of a number of items, when setting the photographic conditions of a camera by instructions from a controller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The camera system comprises the camera 2 and the controller 1 for controlling the camera from the outside. The camera has a camera communication section 39 for communicating information, including image data to the controller, and a remote control section 31a for controlling the camera, in accordance with instructions from the controller. The controller has a communication section 19 for communicating the information, including the image data to the camera, a display section 18 for displaying an image based on the image data from the camera, and a photographic condition instruction control section 11b for transmitting the information on selection image data in the image data from the camera via the communication section. The camera communication section receives information on the image data from the controller. The remote control section sets identical photographic conditions to the camera, based on the photographic condition data in the information on the image data received by the camera communication section.
