<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thin and highly functional absorbent body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the absorbent body includes a first step of sucking a belt-like sheet onto a suction roll, a second step which sucks a pulp component containing at least pulp onto both sides of the belt-like sheet on the suction roll to be like a mat to form pulp mats, and a third step which transfers the belt-like sheet sucked onto the suction roll and the pulp mats on both sides of the sheet to a substrate sheet to form a laminated matter.
