<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric control unit which is free from influence of electromagnetic waves by shielding external electromagnetic waves securely without reducing the flexibility of circuit design of a printed board of an ECU. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electronic control unit includes a metal cabinet 11 which shields electromagnetic waves from outside, a rigid printed board 20 housed in the metal cabinet 11, a connector 21 fixed to the rigid printed board 20 facing an opening 11a provided in the metal cabinet 11, and a flexible printed board 30 which is circuit-connected by being joined to the rigid printed board 20, and at the same time, is led through so as to close a gap between the perimeter of the opening 11a and the connector 21, and covers the perimeter end face of the mating hole of the connector 21 facing the opening 11a, wherein a shield layer 32 is provided in an outer surface layer ranging at least from the covered portion of the outer end face of the connector 21 to the portion passing through the gap in the flexible printed board 30.
