<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable power tool which prevents a power tool from colliding with a workpiece during work, and prevents an operating panel or a control member from being damaged even when the portable power tool erroneously falls from a worker's hand and collides with a floor surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The portable power tool includes a housing 10 which has a holding part 7 and stores a motor 2, and a head part 5 which stores a transmission device 36 in front of the housing 10 and has a processing part 4 for processing the workpiece.
