<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a cutting blade of a conventional flail mower has a heavy weight and tends to knock off stones or the like by strong force or be easily broken when it hits a solid material in a field, since it has a strong rotational force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cutting blade 1 of the flail mower which is attached to a cutting blade holder 2 of a rotor shaft 4 as freely rotatable by a mounting member 3, consists of two divided half parts 10 making contact with each other at their contacting surfaces 110, and also each consists of one plate-like body having a left and right symmetric shape with the contacting surfaces 110 as an symmetry axis surface. Each of the plate-like bodies has a shape in which the lower part 12 of a contacting surface part 11 is twisted from the contacting surfaces 110 to an opposite lateral direction and forward direction sequentially by approximately 90 degrees, respectively, and each of the end sides of the plate-like bodies facing in rotating direction is formed as a flat front edge 14.
