摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of hot line detection by efficiently detecting a light signal. SOLUTION: A light extraction section 24 composed of a material having a refractive index higher than that of a clad section 21 constituting an optical waveguide 2 is disposed in proximity in a light leakage section 23 constituted by reducing the thickness of a part of the clad section 21. Then, the light signal leaking via the light extraction section 24 from the light leakage section 23 is detected by a photodetection element 3. Accordingly, the light signal leaking via the light extraction section 24 from the light leakage section 23 can be efficiently detected by a photodetection element 3. As a result thereof, the detection accuracy of the hot line detection can be improved. Even more, the light signal does not leak from portions other than the light leakage section 23, and therefore, when a plurality of the optical waveguides 2 (core sections 20) are installed together in a direction crossing the propagation direction of the light signal, the crosstalk phenomenon that the light signals leaking from the adjacent optical waveguides 2 (core sections 20) are erroneously detected by the photodetection element 3 hardly occurs and accordingly the improvement in the detection accuracy is made possible.
