<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent that easily mold-releases a concrete molding from a mold form and makes an excellent concrete finished surface possible. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A membrane layer of a thin film is formed when dried by the concrete release agent prepared by dispersing a swelling layer-shaped clay mineral in water, and good mold-release properties are made possible since the membrane layer is interlayer-peeled easily. A membrane peeled off on the side of concrete is integrated with the concrete in the curing of the concrete to take on a smooth concrete finished surface. Since it is a complete water base without using an oil agent at all, bubbles and a bubble trace in the surface of the concrete can hardly be developed, and a good uniform concrete finished surface without a stain which has a high whiteness degree can be obtained.
