<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer having a salt structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polymer having the salt structure had a branched structure. A part or the whole of the polymer terminals are anion groups of sulfonic acid, and the anion group of sulfonic acid and an organic cation form an ion bond. The polymer having the branched structure is preferably a dendritic polymer. The method for producing the polymer having the salt structure includes subjecting the polymer, which has branched structure and whose terminals are sulfonic acid groups, and a salt having the organic cation to ion-exchange reaction.
