PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a host to suitably perform the multicast communication of a variable length packet to respective terminals. SOLUTION: When performing multicast transmission using the variable length packet between the host and the plurality of terminals, a response slot is allocated to the respective terminals to be transmission destinations beforehand in the stage of negotiation. Then, the respective terminals receive a multicast packet, then utilizes a designated fixed slot and returns the response packet of a prescribed length.
