The method involves allocating carrier part (1) with a recess (3) for support of a final section (5) of a decoration material (2), and bringing final section of the decoration material in the recess of the carrier part. The carrier part is heated within the area of the recess in sectional manner. The recess is closed by a tool for establishment of the final section of the decoration material at the carrier part. An independent claim is included for a device for connecting a decoration material with a carrier part.
