<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which warpage of a protection panel formed of plastic can be suppressed to a minimum and to provide a method for manufacturing the image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display device, a liquid crystal display panel 1 and the transparent protection panel 2 formed of plastic are arranged to face each other while interposing a resin-cured material between them. The outside dimension of the protection panel 2 is made larger than that of the liquid crystal display panel 1, a resin composition 4 is cured in a state that the outer periphery of the protection panel 2 is fixed by a fixing tool 5, and the outer periphery of the protection panel 2 is further fixed by the fixing tool 5 after the resin composition 4 is cured. Alternatively, the outside dimension of the protection panel 2 is made almost equal to that of the liquid crystal display panel 1, the outside dimension of the protection panel 2 is made almost equal to that of the inside dimension of a case 8 of the liquid crystal display panel 1 and the protection panel 2, and the resin composition 4 is cured in a state that the resin composition 4 is brought into contact with the almost entire surface of the protection panel 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
