<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occupant protection performance from deteriorating by appropriately starting an occupant protection device even when occupant condition information is changed after an occurrence of collision. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant protection control device controls starting of an occupant protection device from acceleration information obtained from an acceleration detection means for detecting an acceleration rate to act a car and occupant condition information obtained from an occupant information detection means for detecting the information on occupant conditions in the car. The occupant protection control device is provided with a collision determination means for performing a collision determination according to a kind of occupant protection device from the acceleration information and the occupant condition information, a start commanding means for commanding the occupant protection device to start according to the collision determination result by the collision determinatino means, and an information-update prohibition means for prohibiting the update of the occupant condition information determined by the collision determination means after the collision determination result has been generated by the collision determination means which indicates a first collision to have occurred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
