<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very compact reversible apparatus having a simple and economical structure by improving a reversible precrash seat belt tensioner for tightening a seat belt 2 in perilous situation. <P>SOLUTION: The reversible apparatus includes a spring element 3 coupled with the seat belt 2, a preload device 4 that is coupled with the spring element 3 and applies a preload to the spring element 3, and a first locking device 5, wherein the first locking device 5 is configured to retain the spring element 3 preloaded directly or indirectly, and the first locking device 5 releases the spring element 3 in perilous situation, thereby loosening the preloaded spring element 3, so that the seat belt 2 moves by a predetermined distance W to tighten the seat belt 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
