<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a scintillator and a position detector of radioactive ray for manufacturing easily and possessing high position resolution. <P>SOLUTION: The position detector of radioactive ray includes a scintillator 2A including a plurality of modification domains 21 and a plurality of photodetectors combined optically with the surface of the scintillator 2A. A plurality of modification domains 21 is formed by irradiating femtosecond pulse laser beam inside a crystalline lump setting to become the scintillator 2A and dotted with different refractive index from perimeter inside the scintillator 2A three-dimensionally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
